3" Sanitary Butterfly Valve for Main Process Headers & Facility Cooling Mains

The Sharpe 77 Series 3" sanitary butterfly valve is built for high-volume service, such as main process headers, large tank outlets, and facility-level distribution mains where line size and shutoff reliability directly affect system throughput and uptime. In food, beverage, and dairy operations, 3" sanitary butterfly valves are standard on bulk transfer lines, pasteurizer feed headers, and large-scale CIP mains. In data center liquid cooling infrastructure, 3" is a primary size for facility coolant distribution mains, CDU supply and return trunk lines serving multiple racks or rows, and Coolant Distribution Unit inlet isolation where flow rates are highest and a leaking/slow-responding valve poses the greatest risk to IT equipment.

The precision-milled 304 SS body and fully machined and polished disc provide a crevice-free bore even at this larger diameter, where turbulence and deposit buildup become more significant concerns. EPDM seating handles deionized water, water-glycol coolants, and a broad range of aqueous sanitary media while meeting FDA 21CFR 177.2600 for regulated process applications. Tri-clamp ends enable fast seat inspection and replacement during scheduled maintenance without line modification. Rated 150 PSI CWP with bubble-tight bidirectional shutoff and a 200°F operating limit.
