High-Flow 2-1/2" Sanitary Valve for Large-Batch & Cooling Header Service

The Sharpe 77 Series 2-1/2" sanitary butterfly valve is sized for applications where flow demand has outgrown the 2" version but a full 3" line isn't warranted. In sanitary processing, this size is often found on large-batch mixing vessel outlets, brewery bright tank transfers, and high-capacity CIP supply mains. In data center liquid cooling, 2-1/2" valves are a practical choice for primary coolant headers serving multi-rack cooling zones, facility-level supply/return isolation in larger CDU installations, and retrofit projects where existing infrastructure was originally designed around 2-1/2" tube (a common legacy size in industrial chilled water systems being repurposed for DCLC duty).

Made from precision-milled 304 stainless steel with a fully machined and polished disc, the S77 maintains hygienic flow characteristics even at higher velocities typical of larger headers. EPDM seating is compatible with deionized water, glycol blends, and aqueous sanitary media, and carries FDA 21CFR 177.2600 compliance for food and pharmaceutical service. Tri-clamp ends keep installation and maintenance straightforward. Bubble-tight bidirectional shutoff to 150 PSI CWP, rated to 200°F.
