Compact Normally Closed Anti-Siphon Solenoid Valve for Fuel Lines & Cooling Loops

The Morrison Bros. 710 Series ¾-inch solenoid valve is a normally closed anti-siphon valve designed for installation on the dispensing side of fuel system pipelines, where it prevents uncontrolled product siphoning if a downstream pipe fracture occurs below the tank's liquid level. Its smaller ¾-inch size suits tighter piping runs and lower-flow branches (including secondary coolant distribution loops, rack-level manifold feeds, and direct-to-chip cooling circuits in data center liquid cooling infrastructure) where a fail-safe shutoff is needed without a larger valve body.

Built around a cast bronze body with FKM seals, the valve handles fluids up to 60 centistokes viscosity and a maximum temperature of 302°F (150°C). Like all 710 Series valves, it uses a hung piston design that opens at zero pressure differential, so it performs reliably at the low system pressures common in gravity-fed or low-head cooling loops. The continuous duty Class H coil runs at 120V AC standard, with a broad range of AC and DC voltage options available for integration into varied facility control systems. The integral watertight, explosion-proof enclosure is rated NEMA 3, 4X, 7, and 9, UL Certified for Class I Division 1 Groups C and D, Class II Division 1 Groups E, F, and G, and Class III.

Key specifications:

  • Connection size: ¾ in. NPT
  • Orifice size: ¾ in.
  • Cv: 7
  • Operating pressure differential: 0–105 PSI
  • Maximum fluid temperature: 302°F (150°C)
  • Minimum operating temperature: -40°F
  • Power consumption: 30 watts
  • Dimensions (710-0075): 4.0 in. L × 5.9 in. H × 1.5 in. W
  • Must be installed horizontally with solenoid coil upright and vertical
  • 100-mesh inlet strainer required to protect piston assembly from particulate contamination

NOTE: Product can only be pumped in one direction, the direction of the flow arrow. Not designed for use as an overfill prevention or process control valve.

Features

  • Normally closed, hung piston design
  • Install in a horizontal pipeline in the upright vertical position
  • Zero pressure differential
  • Integral thermal relief allows the valve to relieve expansion pressure in the opposite direction of flow
  • Continuous duty Class H standard coil operates at 120 volts
  • Enclosure is watertight and rated for hazardous locations—NEMA 3, 4X, 7 and 9; groups C and D
  • Several optional coil voltages available
  • 710MO has manual override feature. Available in sizes ranging from ¾″ to 2″ for operation during a power outage
  • Recommended for use with liquids having a maximum viscosity of 60 centistokes
  • A strainer with a 100 mesh screen is recommended at the valve inlet
