The MIFAB® SUPER-1000-O gravity oil interceptor offers a 1,000 U.S. gallons liquid holding capacity and is designed for below ground installation. Made in the U.S.A. from seamless, rotationally molded High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) with a 3/8 in. uniform wall thickness, this interceptor ensures durability and reliability. It features an adjustable lid system, sample port access, deep seal trap covered by lid, internal air relief by-pass, adjustable oil draw-off assembly, double vent connections, stainless steel calibrated orifice plate, base for support and floor level installation, and 4 in. no hub inlet and outlet connections. Composite lids provide a water/gas tight seal and have a minimum load capacity of 20,000 lbs., meeting AASHTO H20 loading requirements. Suitable for indoor and outdoor use.

Oil interceptors are required anywhere that oil and sand may be introduced to the public sewer system in applications such as: repair garages, oil change stations, car wash facilities, parking garages, parking lots, hydraulic elevator pits and facilities where oil and flammable liquid waste are produced as a result of manufacturing, storage, maintenance, repair or testing processes. The interceptor collects the oil before it is drained to an adjacent storage tank through an adjustable draw-off system. Sediment and debris is collected inside of the internal sediment bucket. Petroleum based oils are lighter than water and will rise to the surface by gravity differential separation according to the Stokes Law. The International Plumbing Code – 2021 (IPC) and Uniform Plumbing Code 2021 (UPC) require the installation of oil interceptors in the above mentioned applications.
