The Varec 2920 Float & Tape Transmitter (FTT) is a tank-side device designed to convert precise mechanical level measurements from float and tape tank gauges into reliable digital data for inventory management and automation systems. Using an absolute capacitance encoder with direct-drive gearing, the transmitter delivers high accuracy and repeatability without batteries or wearable components. It integrates seamlessly with existing tank gauging systems, supports multiple industry-standard communication protocols, and accommodates ancillary devices such as temperature sensors, HART instruments, alarms, pumps, and valves. Built for hazardous environments, this FM-approved configuration is engineered for long-term reliability, simplified installation, and robust performance in demanding bulk liquid storage applications.
