UltraTech's Ultra-Trench Filter Boom® stops oils and other hydrocarbons from entering trench drains during and after storms. This is the challenge with covering most trench drains, due to their long, narrow and shallow shape. To combat this, UltraTech has engineered the Filter Boom to stop gas, oil, fuel and other pollutants out of trench drains by using their patented Ultra-Filter-Tex material. These hydrocarbons are quickly removed and captured from the stormwater flow, making only clear rainwater allowed to flow into the trench drains. Made with the patented Ultra-Filter-Tex, a high performance sorbent and filtering media that is capable of absorbing an average of 13 times its own weight of liquid hydrocarbons.
Keeps out oils, gas fuel and other pollutants from trench drains during storms.
The design allows for large volumes of stormwater to pass through the filter while absorbing liquids, including hydrocarbons, petroleum and animal and vegetable oils.
The Ultra-Trench Filter Boom's center allows for rebar (which is not included) to be inserted, adding more weight to help stabalize the filter in place.
