Heavy-Duty Stainless Steel Grooved Joints for Rigid Piping Systems

Shurjoint Model SS-7 is a high-performance rigid coupling engineered specifically for Schedule 5S, 10S, and 40S stainless steel piping. This coupling uses a specialized tongue-and-groove mechanism designed for environments where a secure, non-flexible connection is critical (such as data center liquid cooling, waste water treatment, and fire protection). This design, paired with heavy-duty bolt pads, ensures a positive rigid connection without the use of built-in teeth, protecting light-wall pipes and fittings from surface damage during installation.

Made from corrosion-resistant 304 stainless steel housings and equipped with a Grade E-pw EPDM gasket, the SS-7 is optimized for reliability in demanding utility and industrial applications. It supports a maximum working pressure of 600 PSI (42 bar) and is certified to NSF/ANSI 61 and 372 for potable water service up to 180°F (82°C).

Note: SS-7 couplings should always be installed so that the coupling bolt pads make metal to metal contact. The tongue and groove style rigid coupling may allow for rotation of pipe when installed on deeper than specified grooves.
