The Otis Instruments Omniguard Model 860 UV/IR Flame Detector is engineered for early detection of unwanted fires, sensing both ultraviolet and infrared radiation in the appropriate wavelengths. It uses the patented Omniguard Fire Event Analysis Algorithm to minimize false alarms and ensure reliable performance.

The detector includes an automatic self-test function that continuously monitors its ability to detect fires, alerting users if the system is impaired.
