McCabe Water Level Indicator Paste, 3.75 oz. Jar Description

McCabe Water Level Indicator Paste is a green paste that changes to a pinkish-red color when it comes into contact with water. It is used to quickly and accurately detect free water in most petroleum products as well as select petrochemicals. Packaged in a 3.75 oz. (106 g) net weight jar, this paste is easy to apply to gauge sticks or other measuring tools for routine tank inspections.

For best performance, it should be stored between 50°F and 85°F with the cap tightly sealed to prevent moisture contamination. When stored properly, the paste has an unlimited shelf life.

Note: Store between 50 - 85°F (10 - 29 °C) with cap tight to avoid moisture contamination. Shelf life is unlimited.

Directions

Spread a smooth, even coat of the product on the bob or gauging device where you anticipate free water to be present. Lower the gauging device through the petroleum product to the bottom of the tank and leave it for approximately ten seconds. If there is water present, the green paste will turn pinkish/red contrasting to the green color above the water level. When reading the results, please note a straight demarcation on the gauging device.

*Please note that McCabe Water Level Indicator Paste is not intended for use in ethanol-blended gasoline or other products that are blended with ethanol/or alcohol, as they interfere with the normal reaction of the paste.
