The Chemline Plastics Type 58 butterfly valves are designed for on/off and throttling control applications in heavy industries. Valve bodies are wafer style one-piece molded in Polypropylene (PP) and have a PVC disc. The flow direction is bidirectional. Valve will seal closed with pressure on either side. A higher pressure/temperature safety factor is a bonus especially for hazardous services. PP is used in a wide variety of applications from acids and alkali’s to organic solvents as well as pure water. It is one of the best materials to use for systems exposed to varying pH levels, as many plastics do not handle both acids and bases well.
