Morrison 244 Series 4 in. Male Threaded Emergency Vent Description

The Morrison 244 Series threaded emergency vent caps are made with durable powder-coated cast iron covers and automatically reset after opening. These vents help prevent tank over-pressurization and possible rupture. They must be used in conjunction with a normal vent.

Emergency vents are a code-required safety feature for aboveground storage tanks, providing high-capacity pressure relief in the event of a fire. When internal pressure reaches the set opening point, the vent’s weighted cover lifts to release air, then automatically resets as pressure falls.

CFH = Cubic Feet Per Hour @ 2.5 PSI
