Des-Case Rebuild Kits for the DC-RS Steel Breather

Des-Case DC-RS steel breathers silica has 6 month lifespan, but that can vary based on the environment. It is suggested that 6 months after the dessicant breather is placed in place for use it is good to check and see if their breathers have turned pink and need to be replaced. See the silica stages picture for a visual representation of when they should be changed.

It is important to change the breather once it has turned pink so that the moisture does not get back in the system and start to damage critical components. Keeping moisture and particulate out of your applications can improve equipment life up to 4 X their useful life. Once these harmful components get in, they can be difficult to remove. The cost of removing moisture and particulate is 10 X the cost of prevention. Make sure you are keeping fresh desiccant breathers on your lubricated systems to increase uptime and drive down unexpected maintenance costs.

The DC-RS rebuild kit includes: Filter element, Silica Gel, Sight glass indicator, Foam pad, and Dessicant Bag.
