Major design modifications to the receptacle sockets of the Starship System ensure a reduced maintenance expense and a long term reliability never before possible. The sockets, produced in accordance with A.P.I. 1004, will safely and effectively interface with Float, Thermistor and Optic type loading monitors. All EBW receptacle sockets are cast aluminum with hard-coated face plates and J-slots for extra long wear. Four outboard mounting holes in the base provide greater mounting versatility and prevent moisture from entering into socket connections. The stainless steel contact pins will handle 16 gauge wire or smaller. The watertight fittings relieve cable strain and allow for the natural flex of the vehicle.
